Elysium | Vespula-class Regeneratively Cooled Engine
Elysium is YJSP’s first attempt at a fully regeneratively cooled engine. Named after Elysium Mons, the fourth tallest mountain on Mars, this engine builds on almost a decade of YJSP engine design and manufacturing knowledge, featuring a GRCOP-42 converging-diverging nozzle combined with a conventionally manufactured copper combustion chamber all designed using an in-house developed codebase. Elysium is designed to be capable of thermal steady-state operation at an MR of 2.0 with 0% film-cooling which will propel Vespula to heights with unprecedented efficiency.
